Make a Care Package
Do you have a friends or family in the hospital? Send them a care package to make their day just a little bit brighter!
For Patients
Hospitals are often cold and sterile, so colorful gifts can make a big difference. Try fuzzy hats, scarves, gloves, socks, or headbands. Small stuffed animals are good for children. Though many hospitals have television, the long hours during a hospital stay can be very boring. Include small puzzles, coloring sheets, and markers for kids and games such as sudoku, crosswords, or cards for older patients. Favorite books or magazines are also appreciated. Don't forget a "get well soon"card!
For Families
Hospitals don't have enough supplies for visitors of patients who are staying for an extended amount of time. For these families, include toothbrushes and tootpaste, lotion, and neck pillows. You can also include magazines or light snacks, such as a chocolate bar.
You can send these care packages to your friends and loved ones or you can donate them to the nearest hospital for distribution.
