Have you ever been cold, lonely, or bored while staying at a hospital?
Care Packages
We help meet these needs through care packages. We collect donations and colorful gifts, combine them into friendly care packages, and donate them to hospitals where they can be given to those in need. These help patients and their families who are in emergency situations or who cannot be helped by their hospital by bringing warmth and friendliness to them when they are alone.
While these needs may seem trivial, they are still needs and can affect the overall health of a patient. Hospitals provide excellent care for their patients, but staff can never replace the love and care given by family and friends. While hospitals generally provide for material needs for patients, they cannot always do so for visiting family members. While patients can always be sure of a bed, a pillow, and a toothbrush, the hospital cannot provide these amenities for visitors. This becomes a problem and a hassle for those who need to come to the hospital in an emergency and stay for an extended amount of time.
There are also needs of the patient that the hospital cannot satisfy. These are items such as fuzzy socks for cold nights or board games for long days.
